About

AN AGENCY BUILT ON TOP OF AN ECOSYSTEM, NOT INSIDE ONE.

THE PREMISE

Media Jones was created to sit above an existing media and technology ecosystem rather than beside it. Most of that ecosystem sells one part of the advertising chain: a platform, a data set, a piece of inventory. Media Jones owns the client relationship instead, and asks what the client is trying to accomplish before anything is bought. The answer is then assembled from the entire marketplace, including the infrastructure the organization already owns.

That is the shift from media vendor to media partner, and from campaign supplier to agency of record.

The relationship to the ecosystem

WHERE THE CAPABILITY COMES FROM

To be straightforward about it: Media Jones draws on capability from affiliated companies operating in advertising technology, search and commerce. That relationship is the point, and hiding it would undercut the transparency position.

  • Advertising.com

Buying and selling infrastructure and custom search technology.

  • AdMedia

A search marketplace, intent data and contextual technology.

  • Monetize.com

    Commerce, affiliate and publisher relationships.

Those capabilities are available when they make strategic and economic sense, and are never automatically inserted into a plan.

HOW WE WORK

Start with the business problem

Not the channel, not the platform, not the format. The plan is an answer, and it comes after the question.

Senior people stay on the business

The people who write the strategy stay on it after it is sold. There is no handoff to a junior team.

Brand and performance are one practice

We do not run them as separate disciplines with separate incentives. A media plan is judged on the business outcome, not the channel metric.

Every recommendation can be explained

Down to the placement, on request. If we cannot explain why, we do not recommend it.

SO — WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?

Send the problem, not the brief. If media is the wrong instrument for it, we will tell you that instead.
